Skin probe. A combined Flow probe and temperature. Right angle.
The probe has a height of 12.5mm and a diameter (at the probe tip) of 8mm OD. The probe has a groove around the tip to allow flexible PH1-V2 and PH1-V2s probe holders to "clip" in (see accessories). Fibre separation is 0.5mm. Cable 3mm OD. For iontophoresis function, the VP1T-V2 probe can be directly used with the MIC2, ION1-P1 and ION3-P1 iontophoresis chambers shown as below.

Large area Skin probe, combined Flow probe and temperature. It consists of 8 collecting fibres in a 2mm ring with a central delivery fibre. Right angle.

Blunt Needle 90 degree End Delivery Probes.
Probes VP5a is a hypodermic stainless steel tubing with angled tip providing right angled delivery for ease of access to some measurement sites such as the oral mucosa and teeth. The VP5a has a tube diameter of 1.5mm while probe VP5b has a tube diameter of 0.8mm. The length of the probe can be specified between 30mm-80mm and the right angle extension length between 5mm-10mm.
The VP5a has a fibre centre separation of 0.5mm.
The VP5b has a fibre centre separation of 0.25mm.

Low Profile Side Delivery Flat Probe.
Probe VP5sp is for use on moist tissue surfaces including organs and muscles. It adheres to tissue using two suction cups on the underside of the probe head. Suction is provided by a disposable closed wound-drainage system. The VP5sp can also be secured to tissue by sutures through its peripheral skirt.
Material: silicone rubber. Dimensions: L32.5xW12xH6 mm.

Endoscope End Delivery Probe.
An end delivery endoscope probe with flexible nylon sleeving. Probe VP6a has 2.1mm diameter sleeving while probe P6b has 1.35mm diameter sleeving. Both probes have steel tips, 6mm length, surrounded by the nylon sleeving. The probe VP6a has a fibre separation of 0.5mm while probe VP6b has a fibre separation of 0.25mm. Standard fibre length is 3m.
Also available are single fibre probes with detachable ?slave? connectors.

Note: the large separation of centre of the delivery and a collecting fibre (approximately 1mm) will result in collection of light from deeper tissue levels than those measured using the standard 0.5mm separation.
Iontophoresis: used with an ION1-P2 and ION3-P2 chamber.

Skin probe with Low Profile Right-angle Delivery.
The VP8b probe uses a small prism epoxied to the optical fibre to provide right-angle delivery of light and a low profile. In the VP8b the prism is mounted in a hemispherical epoxy end (diameter 6mm and height 2.5mm) and is suitable for measurements in nasal or oral cavities. Separation of fibre centres is 0.5mm.

Suturable Skin probe with Low Profile Right Angle Delivery.
The VP8c titanium disc probe has a 2.1mm OD flexible nylon sleeve with a titanium disc probe head. The probe head is 8mm OD and 2.5 mm high. The head has 4 suture holes drilled in it to provide stability during measurements. Light is delivered at a right angle from the probe head via a central window.

Skin probe - Single Use - Low Profile Side Delivery Suturable.
The VP8d is a low profile side delivery suturable probe. The probe head is formed from moulded silicon elastomer diameter 12mm, height 2.5mm. The head has three 1.5mm holes for suturing if it is required to stabilize the position of the probe on the tissue surface. Light is delivered at right angles to the flat face of the silicon rubber disc.

The VP9 is a multi-emitter/multi-collector probe. The probe has 8 emitting fibres and 8 collecting fibres, 7 equally spaced on a circle diameter of 4mm with one central emitter/collector. Light is collected from 8 tissue sites. Length 20mm, diameter 8mm.
For use with PH1 probe holders which can be attached to the skin via a double sided adhesive disc (PAD).
